COMMUNITY = Care, Prayer, & Relationships (CPR) GROUPS

One of the most important things a (new) believer needs is a spiritual family. A small group of believers provides individual encouragement, personal accountability, and loving support to disciples that cannot be found in a Sunday morning experience. Our CPR (Care, Prayer and Relationships) groups meet both in homes and virtually online throughout the week.

If you are not plugged into a group, you are missing things vital to initiate, sustain, and fuel your spiritual growth.

CPR H.O.S.T. Helps

If you are H.O.S.T.ing a CPR small group, here are a few important resources available for both personal and group use.

  • SpIRITUAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT & PLAN

The Spiritual Health Assessment (as produced by Saddleback Church) assesses believers in the five biblical purposes of worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry.  It includes a friend assessment to obtain objective input from someone you trust, as well as a place to write out a spiritual health plan.  In addition, there are provided various, incremental "Crawl-Walk-Run" ideas for each purpose to help you set some appropriate growth goals.  Spiritual growth most often occurs as a result of conscious and deliberate choices, steps, and habits.  It is recommended to assess yourself once or twice a year and make adjustments to your spiritual health plan accordingly.

  • Small group guidelines

Each time you begin a new study series, it's wise to go over these small group guidelines.  Using the acronym T.O.G.E.T.H.E.R., these guidelines spell out agreed upon expectations and shared values for CPR groups at LTC.  Reviewing them at each new study reminds regular attenders and orients new participants of the shared values of meeting together.
